Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or place entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside company operating that tool. The provider processes the request and supplies its results. We do not retain or record those search terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
We retain an email sent to us as needed to prepare and deliver a response. The message is kept within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a visitor loads a page, the server automatically receives basic technical and usage information:
- Page-view dates and times
- The referring website, when one is available
- Pages viewed and the time spent on them
- Device category and operating system
- Browser name and version
- The device's assigned IP address
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. We use them with analytics services to measure traffic in aggregate, including popular pages and points where visits end. A browser can be set to reject cookies at any time, though blocking them may cause some site functions to behave differently.
What We Do With This Data
- Delivering advertising that may reflect a visitor's interests
- Finding and resolving technical faults
- Measuring which pages are useful and which require improvement
- Routing a search request to the selected outside service
- Operating the site reliably and improving load speed
No Criminal-Record Data on File
Blaine County Criminal History does not keep, aggregate, or sell a database of personal criminal records. Its reference material identifies how to request information from the Blaine County sheriff, County Court, District Court, the Nebraska State Patrol Criminal Identification Division, and the Nebraska Sex Offender Registry. Nebraska government access is subject to the Nebraska Public Records Statutes, Neb. Rev. Stat. §§84-712 through 84-712.09, while Neb. Rev. Stat. §29-3523 limits dissemination of specified criminal-history information. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not used to create consumer reports or files about other people.
Third-Party Search Partners
Independent companies operate the search boxes found on this site. Information submitted through a tool is handled under that provider's privacy policy rather than this policy. Each partner determines its own retention and disclosure practices. Read the applicable policy before entering a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Blaine County offices, Nebraska courts, state agencies, legal-help organizations, or outside search services. Once a visitor follows an external link, the destination's privacy policy applies. Review that policy before providing personal information.
Some advertising companies may measure activity across websites to select targeted ads. That process occurs through their systems, not ours.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal information is not sold. Depending on how the site is used, data may be available to:
- Government or law-enforcement bodies acting under a valid legal order
- Advertising networks that place ads on the site
- Analytics providers that measure site traffic and operation
- Search providers that process a query submitted through their tool
How We Protect Your Data
We use customary security measures to protect the information collected. No internet-connected system can be guaranteed secure, however, so we cannot promise that unauthorized access or a breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
The site is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. If we learn that a minor supplied such data, we will delete it promptly.
Your Data Rights
Privacy and consumer-protection laws that apply where you live may provide additional rights concerning your data. The Nebraska Public Records Statutes, Neb. Rev. Stat. §§84-712 through 84-712.09, govern access to public-agency records, and Neb. Rev. Stat. §29-3523 governs dissemination of specified criminal-history information. Those Nebraska provisions do not change the requests a visitor may make to this private site:
- Opt out of eligible categories of data processing
- Request deletion of personal data we hold
- Ask us to correct inaccurate personal information
- Request a copy of personal data kept about you
Updates to This Policy
This privacy policy may be revised from time to time. Any revision will appear here with a new effective date, so visitors should review the page periodically for changes in our practices.
Effective date: July 31, 2026
